Cottesmore

Last chance

Myself Phil Charlton and Colin Fawcett went to Cottesmore 1/3/2011 for the photo shoot.

It was well organised and we had a good time despite the cold and grey skies. Everything was as advertised.

Prior to arriving at Cottesmore we had breakfast at Waddington and after the shoot was over we went to Coningsby were we managed a shot of a Typhoon in 6 Sqn marks. A first for me.

I am just sorting through my photographs and will add some to the Military Galleries shortly.

I have put some of the very old types in "The Past" gallery such as the Green Goddess and the Hunter XE 606

  • Sad to see them go along with the Harrier.Unfortunately the role that they were designed for in the early 70s has long gone.
