Days out

Leeming Bempton and Manchester

I have had a number of trips out recently, Leeming Wed 11th May, where the main items of interest were Griffons and Chinooks. Unfortunately the Chinooks were not around while i was there but there will be some photo's of the Griffons coming shortly

During the weekend of 28th June my friend Kev and I went with our wives to RSPB nature reserve at Bempton between Scarborough and Bridlington. We had an overnight stay in Bridlington, and some bird photo's are also coming soon, i hope.

Finally on Wed 1st June i went for a trip to Manchester with Kev and Jon & Jim Irwin. Was overcast and breezy but at least it didn't rain on us. One or two new Airlines for us included Izz Air and Strategic.

Also prsent were to of the Emirates fleet a B777 and of course the daily A380. Unusually they closed  runway 25L @ 10.30.

Still it was a good day and some pictures will be going on my website once i have been through the 313 photo's that i took

Sad to see them go along with the Harrier.Unfortunately the role that they were designed for in the early 70s has long gone.
