Duxford Legends

2010

For the first time i went to Legends at Duxford July 2010.

Last summer i went with a group of friends for the Duxford Legends weekend.  It was a fantastic weekend with good company and fantastic weather on the Saturday which was the day we went to the Airfield itself. It was 30+ for much of the day.

Probably the best part of the day was the start up of all the aircraft at the end for the final flypast. The sight and sounds of that day will stay with me forever.

I have just started to add some pictures to the galleries. Following my own thought patterns any aircraft carrying military marks such as Spitfires are going into the Military Gallery, other airframes will go into the Civil gallery for example the Norwegian DC 3 which was a beautiful site in highly polished bare metal. There will also be some that will go into the Misc gallery.

There will be more added over this coming weekend i hope.

The pictures bring back fantastic memories of i great weekend. I hope you all enjoy looking at these fantastic machines.

Sad to see them go along with the Harrier.Unfortunately the role that they were designed for in the early 70s has long gone.
