Visit to RAF Lakenheath

F15's & A10's

Wednesday last week was a long awaited trip to Lakenheath

Four troopers from Middlesbrough set out at 5.15 am last week to Lakenheath. The long day was worth it especially because of the UASF A 10's on TDY from Spangdahelm in Germany.

F15c's & E's were the order of the day and from 13.00 we saw all eight A10's on detachment. We even bagged a Horned Owl.

All photo's of the day are in the Military Gallery.

  • Sad to see them go along with the Harrier.Unfortunately the role that they were designed for in the early 70s has long gone.
